Legal assistant dies in DB police custody in Bogra
A person named Habibur Rahman Habib (36) died in the custody of DB Police in Bogra. He worked as a lawyer's assistant (muhuri). On Tuesday, October 3, around 6:15 in the evening, the DB police arrested him from in front of the Bogra District Judge and Sessions Judge Court. Later, DB fell ill in custody and was taken to Bogra Mohammad Ali Hospital under police guard. He died there around 8:30 pm. Habib was arrested as a suspect in the murder case.
Bogra DB Incharge Mostafiz Hasan said, "He was detained as a suspect in a murder case of Shajahanpur police station. While in DB custody, Habib fell ill with chest pains. He died after being rushed to Muhammad Ali Hospital in Bogra. Habibur Rahman Habib is the son of Abdul Quddus Bablu of Jora Damar Para village of Shajahanpur Upazila. She is the niece of senior lawyer Manjurul Haque in Bogra District Judge's Court.
She used to work as her uncle's assistant. Lawyer Manjurul Haque said, I left the court on October 3 around 5:30 pm. Then call Habib and ask him to take the case documents. ১After 5 minutes, I came to know that 1 team of DB police has taken Habib from the road in front of the court. I can hear the news of Habib's death at approximately 9 pm. Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Mohammad Ali Hospital. Shafiq Amin Kajal said, "DB police brought Habib to the hospital around 8 pm in an ill condition. Habib died at around 8:30 pm after being given first aid after being admitted to the hospital. However, no injury marks were seen on the dead body.'
